According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the schedule for announcing the benchmark scores and the list of successful candidates of the first round of universities and colleges is expected to take place between 5:00 p.m. on August 20 and before 5:00 p.m. on August 22. That means candidates will know the benchmark scores in about 2 weeks.

At this time, many candidates are nervous and worried, not understanding why they have completed their registration and paid the fee (ending at 5:00 p.m. on August 5), but the results were not announced until 5:00 p.m. on August 20 and 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

Master Vo Ngoc Nhon, Deputy Director of the Admissions Consulting Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that after candidates have completed the registration and paid the admission fee, the Ministry of Education and Training and universities begin to implement techniques related to the admission process to give the most accurate results to candidates.

"As we know, each candidate has the right to register for an unlimited number of wishes and only be admitted to one wish. Once admitted, the next wishes will not be considered. From now until 5:00 p.m. on August 20, the Ministry of Education and Training and universities will conduct virtual filtering 6 times to give the final results," Master Nhon informed.

According to Master Nhon, virtual filtering is the process by which the system automatically reviews, screens, and eliminates lower preferences if the candidate has met the admission requirements for a higher preference. This process is repeated many times to ensure accuracy before the official admission results are announced.

The main purpose of filtering out virtual wishes is to ensure that each candidate is only admitted to the highest possible wish, avoiding the situation where a candidate "occupies a place" in many schools at the same time. This helps to minimize the "virtual" phenomenon in admission, meaning that the number of candidates determined to be admitted does not reflect the number of people who will actually enroll.

"Thanks to virtual filtering, universities can accurately determine the number of truly admitted candidates, thereby planning appropriate training and recruiting enough students according to regulations. At the same time, this process also contributes to ensuring transparency, fairness and efficiency in the admission process throughout the system," said Master Nhon.

Master Nhon noted that after the official results are available, candidates will confirm their admission online on the system until 5:00 p.m. on August 30.

"During this time, in addition to waiting for the results, you need to gradually prepare for entering university in the coming period. Maintain a regular, scientific schedule and take care of your health," Master Nhon noted.

In addition, experts say that candidates need to prepare mentally for living away from home (if in another locality), determine their study goals, the activities they will participate in, and prepare personal items and utensils suitable for living in the new place. During this time, candidates can also review necessary knowledge such as information technology, foreign languages, etc.
