An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy evaluates after 30 days of operating the post-merger organizational structure

Speaking at the conference, Director of the People's Procuracy of An Giang province Nguyen Ngoc Phuc emphasized: "In the first 30 days, despite many difficulties in terms of facilities, personnel and working conditions, with a spirit of solidarity, initiative and high political determination, the units quickly stabilized the organization, maintained good professional activities, and did not let work be interrupted."

After completing the merger, An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy established the Provincial People's Procuracy Party Committee with 21 affiliated Party cells, perfecting the leadership apparatus at the department and regional levels.

The staff of 427 civil servants and employees are arranged to work in 10 specialized departments of the provincial institute and 15 regional people's procuracies.

In the past 30 days, the People's Procuracy at two levels has received and inspected 165 sources of information about crimes; initiated 142 new cases, 142 defendants; prosecuted 89 cases, 443 defendants; inspected the first-instance trial of 147 cases, 283 defendants; inspected the appeal trial of 31 cases, 46 defendants; inspected the execution of criminal sentences against 143 defendants; detained 102 people and temporarily detained 694 people.

At the same time, the prosecution handled and resolved 816 civil cases, 44 civil appeal cases, 33 first-instance commercial and labor cases, and dozens of administrative cases, civil enforcement, complaints and denunciations.

This is a huge amount of work, while the new operating conditions are not yet completely stable, but the whole industry has shown outstanding efforts and a high sense of responsibility.
