Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is the first international dance sport tournament held in Vietnam, under the permission of the Vietnam Sports Department, organized by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation in coordination with Khanh Thi - KTA King The Art.

Notably, this is the first time in history that the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has awarded Vietnam the right to host the Southeast Asian Championship, the Asian Championship, and especially the Women's Solo Asian Championship - also the first time this event has been recognized and included in the region's official competition system.

Previously, dancesports only had Southeast Asian rankings through the SEA Games every two years. Therefore, this is the first time that the World DanceSport Federation has allowed Vietnam to host the Southeast Asian championship, and it will be an annual amateur tournament in the Southeast Asian region.

Being selected to host unprecedented tournaments not only demonstrates the special trust from the World Federation, but also clearly demonstrates the organizational capacity and reputation of Vietnamese Dancesport on the international sports map.

Up to now, the tournament has recorded the participation of more than 36 countries and territories, with more than 4,000 registrations, 3,000 athletes and more than 100 international and national referees. This is considered the largest Dancesport event in the history of Southeast Asia.

To ensure the best results for Vietnam, coach Khanh Thi has personally spent her own money to lead the team including the pairs: Phan Hien - Thu Huong, Ngoc An - To Uyen to train in Europe and participate in a number of international tournaments in the WDSF system to accumulate global ranking points. From the beginning of the year until now, the team has participated in: January in Dalian - Beijing, China; April in Malaysia; May and June in Denmark, Germany.

Coach Chi Anh is in charge of Standard content, leading the team including athletes: Trung Thuc - Ngoc Anh, Minh Xuan, Gia Linh to China for intensive training.

Although it is a very large-scale international tournament, the majority of the funding for Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is paid for by Khanh Thi herself, along with a number of small-scale sponsors supporting the development of the domestic Dancesport community.

Coach Nguyen Khanh Thi shared: “I don’t organize the tournament for fame or profit. I organize it because Vietnamese Dancesport needs a real step forward - professional, methodical, and capable of connecting with the world.”

Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is not simply a tournament, this is a strong declaration of Vietnam Dancesport, that we not only have talented athletes but also have the capacity to organize international standard events, gradually turning Vietnam into the leading Dancesport center in Southeast Asia.
