In an open letter, Mr. Le Hong Thai, Principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, shared that every year on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the school receives a lot of congratulatory flowers. "This year, due to the difficult economic situation, through this open letter, the school respectfully requests that instead of giving flowers, donors, businesses and organizations please change the form by giving notebooks, milk and sports equipment so that the school can reward the students," the open letter reads.

In the open letter, the principal also said that this November, the school's main activities will be the Illustrated Storytelling Contest and Phan Van Tri Challenge 2024. The goal of these activities is to help students develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics.

The letter stated: "The school hopes to receive support and sharing from sponsors, businesses and organizations to provide practical gifts - direct support for children in training their mind - body - beauty, encouraging them to confidently participate in useful playgrounds.

Every contribution of yours, big or small, is a source of motivation for us and our students in the journey of developing knowledge and personality."

Speaking more about the open letter refusing to accept flowers and gifts on November 20, Mr. Le Hong Thai shared that this year the school organized many diverse playgrounds for teachers, students, parents, families, and the school to participate in connecting.

Playgrounds such as sports , painting, decorating conical hats, piggy banks, etc. are enthusiastically participated in by students, teachers and parents.

To encourage students to participate in playgrounds, the school's budget can only stop at rewarding them with certificates of merit.

The school hopes that instead of giving flowers to congratulate the school on November 20, these flower baskets will be converted into milk, notebooks, and symbolic medals for the school to reward students who participate in these activities.
