The cooperation agreement aims to implement the Government 's direction on promoting the core, leading and pioneering role of state-owned enterprises.
Accordingly, the two groups will focus on expanding cooperation in many fields, especially research training, application of science and technology, innovation, green transformation in production such as products serving the semiconductor industry and industries with high scientific and technological content.
Along with that are investment cooperation activities, capital contribution in enterprises and strategic projects. This is considered a solid foundation for Petrovietnam and Vinachem to elevate their partnership, pioneering in creating new values for the national industry.
This cooperation agreement especially emphasizes joint research and production of raw materials, materials and specialized chemicals for the high-tech industry and semiconductor industry - a field that requires advanced science and technology.
Therefore, Vinachem, with its strength in chemical technology, will cooperate with PVN - a unit with financial capacity and experience in managing large projects - to build a domestic supply chain, contributing to laying the foundation for the Vietnamese semiconductor industry.
Not only that, the two groups also aim to produce high-tech products serving the new energy, electronics and automation industries. At the same time, they agreed to promote investment cooperation and contribute capital to key projects in many fields - to expand the scale of operations and improve competitiveness.
Mr. Le Manh Hung - Chairman of Petrovietnam - affirmed that cooperation not only opens up new growth space, but also contributes to enhancing the position and competitiveness of each corporation, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the national economy.
According to Mr. Phung Quang Hiep - Chairman of Vinachem - to cooperate effectively, it is necessary to take clear actions, have deadlines, have practical products and specific work lists to manage, monitor and promote implementation to create efficiency for comprehensive strategic cooperation in all fields.
The parties assessed that the cooperation between the two groups will create a synergistic effect, improve the efficiency of production and business activities, promote scientific and technological research activities, bring common achievements to the industry, and bring long-term benefits to the country.
Previously, Petrovietnam and Vinachem had effective cooperation in the field of raw material supply, fertilizer and chemical production. However, the new agreement is a more comprehensive development step, demonstrating a strategic vision to contribute to the formation of a modern and synchronous industrial ecosystem.
