Born in 1962 in Hanoi , Le Thiet Cuong was drawn to painting from a young age, and later studied art design at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. He soon established his own style with minimalist painting, a school imbued with the spirit of Zen and Eastern philosophy. Minimalism is not only a style but also his "artistic identity", as he once said: "Minimalism is me, I am minimalism".

Painter Le Thiet Cuong has had dozens of solo exhibitions at home and abroad and is known as a dedicated curator who is passionate about supporting young artists through the G39 group, which regularly organizes non-profit exhibitions at his home.

Le Thiet Cuong's love for friends, artists, and culture is deeply expressed through his own design and publication of many valuable art books, including publications dedicated to close people such as writer Nguyen Huy Thiep, poet Hoang Cam, director Dao Trong Khanh... He works tirelessly, with the belief that preserving beauty is the responsibility of artists.

Despite battling illness in his final years, Le Thiet Cuong continued to create. Last May, he published the book Conversations with Paintings - a collection of 70 sharp criticisms. Before that, he curated a ceramic exhibition about Nguyen Huy Thiep and designed an elaborate print of the Ksitigarbha Sutra .

In addition to fine arts, he is famous in many fields such as photography, sculpture, architecture, and design. He has participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad, curated many events, and has works in the collection of the National Museum of Singapore.

Le Thiet Cuong passed away, leaving behind a profound artistic legacy, a respectable personality, and the image of a talented, generous, and loving Hanoi artist. For Le Thiet Cuong, doing art is also being human, a journey back to the inner self, reaching the true self. And now, he has returned in peace.
