This afternoon, January 12, after finishing 2 play-off matches of the Central Coast qualifying round, the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup has determined the player who scored the most goals: Duong Huu Thai Hoang (Hue University team).
Previously, on the morning of January 10, in the match within the framework of group 3, group B, qualifying round of the Central Coast, player Duong Huu Thai Hoang scored a double to help Hue University team win 5-0 against the University of Technical Education - University of Da Nang .
Player number 10 Duong Huu Thai Hoang of Hue University team scored the only goal in the play-off match against Duy Tan University team.
On the afternoon of January 12, Duong Huu Thai Hoang was also the player who scored the only goal in the play-off match (58th minute) against Duy Tan University, helping Hue University win a ticket to the final round.
Although he did not win the title of “top scorer” in the qualifying round, with 3 goals against the opposing team, Duong Huu Thai Hoang was the player who scored the most goals. This achievement helped Thai Hoang receive the award for the best player of the qualifying round in the Central Coast region.
Sharing after the match, player number 10 of Hue University said that he is currently a student majoring in animal husbandry at the University of Agriculture and Forestry - Hue University. "This is the first time I have participated in a tournament and won a ticket to the final round in Ho Chi Minh City with my teammates, I am very happy and excited," said Thai Hoang.

“I would like to dedicate these goals to the fans of Hue University. It is not that I am an outstanding individual, but it is a worthy result of the team and the coaching staff in a rigorous and resilient training journey. The final round will be very dramatic, my only goal is to bring the cup back to Hue,” Hoang said.
Duong Huu Thai Hoang is a center forward with a tall body, good pressure and smart running.
With impressive performance, on the afternoon of January 12, after the end of the second play-off match, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup awarded the best player award to player Duong Huu Thai Hoang.
