On the evening of September 3 in Manila (Philippines), the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province received the award "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency 2024" presented by the World Travel Awards. Talking to VOV.VN reporter about the reason for awarding the award to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, Mr. Graham Cooke - founder of the World Travel Awards said that "very strong tourism marketing campaigns are the reason why Quang Nam Tourism surpasses other nominees".
“The tourism management agency in Quang Nam has made great efforts in promoting local tourism resources on social media platforms. I have been to Quang Nam, the heritage, culture and street food here are wonderful. This award not only brings Quang Nam to the world but also once again shows the diversity of Vietnam tourism,” Mr. Graham Cooke told VOV.VN.

This is the first time the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of a locality in Vietnam has received the award "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency". Last year, the winner of this category was the Sabah Tourism Department (Sabah state, Malaysia). This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was honored for the second time as "Asia's Leading City-Level Tourism Management Agency 2024", after the first time in 2022. In 2023, this award was given to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
