According to Decree 176/2025/ND-CP of the Government , the subjects are elderly people aged 75 years or older who do not receive monthly pensions or social insurance benefits, or are receiving monthly pensions or social insurance benefits lower than the pension level prescribed in Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP; people aged 70 to under 75 years old who are poor households or near-poor households according to Government regulations but do not receive monthly pensions or social insurance benefits, or are receiving monthly pensions or social insurance benefits lower than the pension level prescribed in Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP.
The Decree also clearly stipulates that the social pension benefit level is 500,000 VND/month.
To achieve results in receiving dossiers, the People's Committee of Bat Trang commune has directed the specialized department to implement carefully; increase propaganda on the commune's radio system and mass media, helping people in the commune understand their rights and proactively participate.
The Commune People's Committee also assigned staff to guide and check documents on the spot to avoid errors and shorten processing time.
Thanks to the promotion of propaganda work, the support efforts of the professional department, the Commune Youth Union and the staff and civil servants of the Public Administration Service Center, from July 15 to 16, the People's Committee of Bat Trang Commune received more than 250 out of a total of 500 applications.
Chairman of Bat Trang Commune People's Committee Hoang Tien Dung affirmed: The work of receiving and supporting the elderly to declare and complete documents to receive social pension benefits, according to the new policy in Bat Trang commune is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the closeness and responsibility of the local government, at the same time, creating more trust with the people in the commune in social security policies.
The social pension policy under Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP not only contributes to improving the material life of the elderly without pensions but also clearly demonstrates the humanity in the social security policy of the Party and State, especially in the context of restructuring administrative units and implementing the two-level local government model in the Capital.
