The driver of a 29-seat passenger bus drove in the wrong direction on the Tay Son - Thai Ha overpass during rush hour, causing outrage.

Immediately after the bus violated the law, the Hanoi Department of Transport's road management unit and Traffic Police Team No. 3 deployed a traffic diversion plan, guiding vehicles through the area, and assisting in "rescuing" the stuck vehicle. After about 15 minutes, traffic on the route returned to normal.

Working with the authorities, Mr. PCĐ (born in 1963 in Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh province), the driver, admitted that he did not pay attention, leading to entering the prohibited road.

The traffic police have drawn up an administrative violation report against Mr. PCĐ for "driving a vehicle onto a road with a sign prohibiting entry for the type of vehicle being driven", and have temporarily confiscated his driver's license for processing.

According to Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP effective from January 1, 2025, this behavior will be fined from 4 to 6 million VND and have 2 points deducted from the driver's license.
