The Xiaomi 15 Series is expected to include the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Recently, some information about the camera setup on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been revealed by leaker Ice Universe.
Similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will continue to feature a quad-camera system. The source said that the device will have a telephoto lens with a resolution of 200MP and 4x optical zoom, which will probably turn it into a periscope camera. Leaker Ice Universe also claimed that Xiaomi fans will be pleased with this advanced camera setup, which offers extended zoom capabilities with different focal lengths.
Recently, it was reported that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a dual-layer OLED panel, supporting 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Previously, it was revealed that Xiaomi 15 Ultra could be one of the first phones to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC chip with outstanding performance that will be launched next October. It can provide two large cores along with six medium cores and will be manufactured on TSMC's 3nm process.
The device will come with an impressive 24GB of RAM and a massive 6,000 mAh battery that can last for 2 days.
Gizmochina revealed that the Xiaomi 15 series will be dust and water resistant to IP69 standards (currently, flagship smartphones from Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi only meet IP68 dust and water resistance standards).
There are currently no devices on the market that meet the IP69 standard. If the rumors are true, the Xiaomi 15 series products will be the first phones to be equipped with this high-end standard.
