On the afternoon of March 5, a representative of the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) informed about traffic participation for people while waiting to issue or change their driver's license.
Accordingly, those who have completed the procedures, are waiting for a driver's license to be issued or changed, or have not yet received a physical driver's license, when driving a vehicle in traffic, will be controlled by the traffic police according to the procedure.
Specifically, drivers and vehicle owners can present their driving licenses via the VNeID application for traffic police to check and control the driving licenses as well as related documents integrated on the VNeID application.
Traffic police will check the information integrated on VNeID instead of physical driver's license.
In case the driver is in the process of issuing or changing the driver's license, provide the ID number or the old driver's license number (in PET material). At that time, the traffic police will look up the professional system to compare the information.
"People have completed the procedures for issuing, exchanging, and reissuing driving licenses but have not been updated on the above application platforms because the 3 working days have not been completed. Traffic police will base on the appointment letter, photo, and driving license information on the applications to determine whether the driver has a driving license or not," said a representative of the Traffic Police Department.
Currently, the issuance and exchange of driving licenses are carried out directly or online. To avoid wasting time and facilitate administrative procedures, people in need should carry out procedures online via the National Public Service Portal, address "dvc4.gplx.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-trang-chu.html".
From March 1, people who complete the procedures will receive results after 5 working days.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people absolutely do not provide personal information to anyone they do not know, including those who claim to be police officers issuing or exchanging driving licenses.
In particular, do not follow the requests of strangers calling via phone numbers claiming to be police officers, to guide you in installing applications, activating accounts, application software, strange links, or requesting money transfers.
Do not access strange websites, install strange software, strange links or unofficial application stores of unknown origin, including software that requires high access rights to user information.
