On the morning of December 26, the Provincial Cooperative Union held a conference to summarize the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.
Up to now, 28 agricultural cooperatives in the province have built 34 3-star and 4-star OCOP products.
Thai Binh province has 464 cooperatives, 1 cooperative union, and 235 cooperative groups. The total number of members of collective economic organizations and cooperatives in 2023 is 570,286 people, an increase of 3,189 members compared to 2022, the number of regular employees is about 10,227 people. The average revenue of collective economic organizations and cooperatives is estimated at 3,825 million VND, an increase of 7.7% compared to 2022. The average profit of cooperatives, cooperative unions, and cooperative groups is 396 million VND, an increase of 8.3% compared to 2022. Cooperatives have promoted their role in gathering, mobilizing changes in thinking and working methods, effectively applying scientific and technical advances, transforming the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity production, actively contributing to the restructuring of the agricultural economy.
To date, 28 agricultural cooperatives in the province have built 34 brands with packaging labels of local specialties recognized as 3-star and 4-star OCOP products. Cooperatives have actively participated in land accumulation and concentration, applied synchronous mechanization, and organized production linkages according to the value chain.
In 2023, the Provincial Cooperative Union admitted 11 more members; organized 8 training courses, training and fostering for cooperative leaders. The Provincial Cooperative Union has been active in finding sources of support for member units to borrow capital to develop production and business, create jobs and increase income for members and workers in cooperatives; organized many conferences and seminars, actively participated in trade promotion activities, supported member units in finding new sources of goods, finding output for products, etc.
In 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union will promote trade promotion activities, contributing to improving operational efficiency, and acting as a bridge to promote cooperation opportunities between cooperative groups, cooperatives, businesses, distributors and consumers.
