3 helicopters ready for search and rescue in flooded areas

(Dan Tri) - 3 helicopters of Air Force Regiment 916 will participate in rescue and relief for people in flooded areas in Yen Bai and Cao Bang.
The Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force has just directed the helicopter force to be ready to carry out rescue missions in the northern flood areas. Accordingly, Air Force Regiment 916 (Division 371) will have 2 helicopters directly participating in the rescue, Mi 171, Mi 17 (1 Mi 7 on reserve).

The delegation will be divided into 2 flight crews to participate in air search and rescue in the flooded areas of Yen Bai and Cao Bang provinces. The aircraft will transport essential food and goods such as instant noodles, drinking water, bread, life buoys, etc. to help people in flooded areas. After determining the plan to carry out the mission, the aircraft will carry out rescue by hanging cranes or landing at the beach, dropping cargo to transport necessities. Currently, the 2 aircraft, flight crews and air search and rescue team at Air Force Regiment 916 are equipped and ready to carry out the mission. Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed telegram No. 92 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and post-storm floods. In the telegram, the Prime Minister requested the deployment of forces and means, including helicopters, to reach the area by all means to support the transportation of food and provisions for people; ensure the safety of dykes, etc.
