About the model new rural village Hong Nhue 2

Coming to Hong Nhue 2 these days, the first impression is that the village main road has been paved and widened to nearly 10m. 100% of the large and small traffic routes, including alleys, have been hardened, convenient for travel and trade. Many sections of the village main road also have sidewalks and green tree systems like urban roads. That is the result of high consensus among the people, families along the traffic routes have voluntarily donated land to open roads for common development.

In the roadmap for building a model new rural area, especially in the last months of 2024, the Party cell of Hong Nhue 2 village has mobilized households to donate hundreds of square meters of land of all kinds. From there, people agreed to build a fence system to expand the roads. With the support of the commune and Hoang Hoa district (old), the village also invested in building drainage ditches, planting flowers and ornamental plants along rural traffic routes.

The highlight of the village is the cultural house, which was built spaciously and has become a practical community activity place for the people. Equipment such as sound systems and televisions have also been purchased. Around the cultural house, there are also green spaces, sports fields, and additional exercise equipment, becoming a place for people to practice every afternoon. The cultural and artistic movement in the village has also developed since then thanks to the guaranteed common living space.

According to the head of Hong Nhue 2 village, Le Van Chinh, after being selected by Hoang Thang commune (old) as a model and assigned the task of completing the model NTM criteria by early 2024, the Party cell held a meeting, issued a thematic resolution, and strengthened the mobilization of the people. Mass organizations in the village joined in, creating a widespread movement, arousing the strength of the entire people. The Elderly Association played a major role in mobilizing children and grandchildren to contribute money and labor to build welfare works. The Women's Association mobilized members to contribute hundreds of working days to clean the environment, weed, plant trees... From there, the weed banks became green small campuses, with additional flower beds to beautify the landscape. 2 village ponds that had been stagnant for many years were renovated and solidly embanked to preserve the beauty of the countryside...

After more than 1 year of "all-out efforts" for the journey to become a model NTM village, the village has mobilized a total resource of more than 11 billion VND, of which the superiors supported nearly 37%, the rest was supported by children living far from home, people agreed to contribute, spend money to renovate or build new houses, build auxiliary works to meet NTM standards... Thanks to that, public works, many indicators and criteria of the model NTM village were completed one by one by the village.

In Hong Nhue 2, the production development target has become prominent in many villages in the region. With the diligence of local people, all the fields here have become specialized watermelon growing areas, growing green crops all year round. The village has also developed a high-tech agricultural model of the Hong Nhue Agricultural Service and Safe Vegetable and Fruit Cooperative. From the low-lying and inefficiently cultivated land in the locality, the Cooperative has rented, renovated, invested in building greenhouses and net houses to develop cultivation. Many modern farming methods have been applied, with crops of yellow melons, cucumbers, eggplants, bell peppers, and seasonal vegetables and fruits growing all year round. The agricultural products grown in the direction of organic farming and food safety here have affirmed their reputation in the market with the "brand" Nhung Farm. From this new agricultural model, Hong Nhue 2 village has a 3-star OCOP product, yellow melon.

With the Thai Thang industrial cluster at the beginning of the village coming into operation, it has attracted a Hong Kong garment project, the Nam Ich Thang Textile Factory, with a scale of 5,000 workers. Dozens of workers from Hong Nhue 2 village have been recruited to work, with an income of around 10 million VND/person/month. Hong Nhue 2 also has a major road connecting Hoang Hoa commune to the Southeast of the old Hoang Hoa district, so there are many conditions for developing trade and services. Currently, the village has 12 individual production and business establishments, helping to solve employment and stable income for households.

With more than 1,000 people of working age, it has contributed to raising the average income per capita of the village to more than 72.7 million VND/year, among the highest in the plains of the province. After achieving 15/15 criteria for a model new-style rural village, the way of thinking, working, and the material and spiritual life of the people of Hong Nhue 2 have changed positively. Spacious houses, a green - clean - beautiful environment, modern infrastructure... have brought a new look to the countryside in the North of Hoang Chau commune.
