According to Ms. Duong Thi Tuyen - President of Can Tho University Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, this is an event to continue studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; create a playground for officials and workers of the unit. In July, the contest took place in the preliminary round with 48 performances (storytelling, singing, dancing, martial arts, aerobics, traditional musical instruments, circus, magic...) of faculties and schools under Can Tho University. The jury selected 22 performances for the final round taking place in early August. The content of the performances praised the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the country, the sea and islands of Vietnam; the outstanding achievements of Can Tho University.

The units brought to the contest carefully invested performances, carefully staged from content to form, through revolutionary songs, songs expressing love for the homeland, country, and school. In particular, the performances telling stories about Uncle Ho impressed the listeners not only because of the good and meaningful content but also because of the illustrations through documentary films, animations or vivid real-life connections... Ms. Cao Thanh Thuy, lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Can Tho University, won first prize in the storytelling contest about Uncle Ho, shared: "I prepared the contest very carefully, because in my heart and mind I always have the example of President Ho Chi Minh and the guiding principles that he has guided. Therefore, when the school's Union launched the contest, I immediately registered to participate, with the desire to spread Uncle Ho's ideology, morality, and style to everyone, especially students".

Among the artistic talent performances, there were exciting performances such as the folk dance “Walking in the Roc Troi” by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, or the dance performance to the music “I’m still waiting for you to come back” deeply depicting the image of women in the rear… Master Le Thi Minh Thu, lecturer at the Pedagogical College, won first prize with her dance performance, confided: “We have carefully staged and rehearsed this performance to bring the most complete performance. Besides the meaning of the song “I’m still waiting for you to come back”, we hope to inspire young people about dancing.”

The efforts and enthusiasm of the teachers through the contest performances were highly appreciated by the Jury and enthusiastically supported by the students. Singer Le Hang, former teacher of Can Tho College of Arts, member of the Jury, commented: "The careful investment and enthusiasm of the teachers in the contest not only contributed to raising the level of the contest, but also helped the audience have meaningful moments of relaxation."

The cheers and rich emotions of the students when enjoying the performances of their teachers clearly reflected the quality of this year's competition. Student Nguyen Ngoc Nhi, English Pedagogy major, class 50, said: "Every performance in the final round was good and meaningful, making me admire not only the talent but also the dedication of the teachers. I liked the choir performance "Sacred Vietnam" the most because the teachers fully conveyed their patriotism, making me proud to be a Vietnamese citizen!"
