Tens of thousands of people watched Taylor Swift's concert in Munich, Germany, from a hill outside the Olympic Stadium on July 27-28 without paying a penny.
"Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming with me," Taylor Swift greeted 74,000 fans in the Olympic stadium in German.
The hill southeast of the stadium, where tens of thousands of spectators were, had a direct view, higher than the entire Olympic Stadium. They brought umbrellas, blankets, and camping tents, and watched the three-hour concert for free without having to pay a penny.
"From the top of the hill, you can enjoy stunning views of the Olympic Park, Munich and the Alps. However, for decades, Olympic Hill has also been a popular destination for free outdoor concerts," the Olympic website writes.
In photos of the concert venue, fans were seen camping out on the gently sloping hill just behind the stadium. Police estimated that there were 40,000 spectators in the stadium, 25,000 on the hill and 15,000 in the space next to the Nymphenburg Canal.
In videos captured by viewers on X (formerly Twitter), Taylor Swift can be heard shouting hello to the crowd outside from the stage.
"We have a lot of people in the park outside the stadium, thousands of people listening!" she told the cheering crowd. "I feel so welcome, and we're going to spend the night trying to make it up to you."

Before the Munich show, the singer will perform two shows in Hamburg, Germany on July 23-24. After the concert in Germany, Taylor Swift will travel to Warsaw, Poland, for two nights in early August. Swift's record-breaking European leg of the world tour will conclude with five more shows in London, England.
