On the evening of October 22, Coach Mai Duc Chung announced the list of 22 players for the Vietnamese women's team participating in the second qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Notably, this time the list includes the name of the number one striker of the Vietnamese women's team, Huynh Nhu.
In the preliminary list recently announced, the striker from Tra Vinh was not on the list because at that time she was busy playing for Lank FC.
But under the influence of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Portuguese team decided to let Huynh Nhu return to serve the national team.
The presence of Huynh Nhu will certainly help increase the strength of the Vietnamese women's team significantly.
Besides the appearance of Huynh Nhu, Coach Mai Duc Chung also decided to remove 3 players including: striker Ngoc Minh Chuyen (Thai Nguyen Club), midfielder Nguyen Thi Truc Huong (Than KSVN Club) and defender Pham Thi Lan Anh ( Hanoi Club).
These are all young faces of the Vietnamese women's team and have just been called up to join the army recently.
Although eliminated, all three players mentioned above have great potential and promise to become future pillars of the Vietnamese women's team.
Talking about the squad this time, midfielder Bich Thuy said: “After ASIAD 19, the young players have started to get along with their seniors. They were also given the opportunity to experiment and gain experience in the last tournament.
Currently, the players are confident and have better passes and coordination with other teammates. In the past few days, the coaching staff has let the players practice and compete internally to test and perfect their tactical ideas, ready for the next 3 matches."
The Vietnamese women's team will practice until October 23 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and will leave for Uzbekistan that evening.
According to the schedule, in the second qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will face Uzbekistan (October 26), India (October 29) and Japan (November 1).
