In the opening match of EURO 2024 in Group A, host Germany easily defeated Scotland 5-1 to have a smooth start in the journey to conquer the championship.
The "tank" has high hopes for the tournament held at home. In the second match of Group A, Germany will meet Hungary at 11:00 p.m. on June 19, while Scotland will face Switzerland.
Other championship candidates including Spain, England, and the Netherlands all had victories in their opening matches to take the top spot on the rankings, thereby opening the door to the round of 16.
EURO 2024 will take place from June 15 to July 15, 2024, in 10 cities across Germany. The top two teams from each of the six groups, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage.
