Beef stew ranked 6th and banh cuon ranked 76th in the list of 100 best breakfasts in the world according to Taste Atlas.
According to Taste Atlas, website With information on nearly 10,000 dishes, 9,000 restaurants as well as documents and research from food critics, the list of the 100 best breakfasts in the world is ranked from high to low based on the number of votes from diners and food experts with nearly 20,000 votes.

Two Vietnamese dishes mentioned in the list are beef stew (6th) and rice rolls (76th). "Bo stew is a popular Vietnamese stew that can be eaten alone or with bread and herbs. The dish consists of thinly sliced beef, carrots, lemongrass, cinnamon, chili, pepper, garlic, shallots and simmered in a fragrant broth," the world-famous culinary site wrote about beef stew.
Banh cuon ranked 76th, and was rated by culinary experts as "requiring special skills to make this steamed roll because it is thin and transparent". The popular Vietnamese breakfast dish is usually filled with pork, sliced wood ear mushrooms and served with sausage, dipping sauce, fried onions, and shredded pork floss.
Other dishes in the top 10 include: Chilaquiles (Mexico), Bougatsa (Greece), Pão de queijo (Brazil), Komplet lepinja (Serbia), Roti canai (Malaysia), Nan-e barbari (Iran), Croissant (France), Syrniki (Russia) and Mercimek çorbası (Turkey) red lentil soup.
Taste Atlas says the aim of the rankings is to promote “great local food”, to inspire pride in traditional dishes and curiosity about dishes you’ve never tried. The list is voted on based on real, fair and regional reviews, like a suggested menu for tourists on their next trip. The names on the list must be typical, delicious, popular and suitable for the tastes of many people.
