On the evening of November 1, a source from Dan Tri reporter confirmed that Dong Nai Provincial Police had urgently arrested two officials in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai , related to compensation and resettlement work for the Long Thanh International Airport project.
They are Mr. NVM, a surveyor at the Long Thanh District Land Fund Center and Mr. NTB, a cadastral officer of Binh Son Commune, Long Thanh District.

In addition, authorities are detaining a woman named H., who is believed to have bribed people with the two officials above.
According to the initial investigation, Ms. H. received money from the people and colluded with the two officials above to promise to arrange and consider resettlement for the people. The two officials M. and B. received money from the people.
The police investigation agency continues to clarify the case.
Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai Province) is a national key project with a capital scale of about 5 billion USD (about 110 trillion VND). This will be the largest airport in Vietnam in the future with an area of 5,364 hectares and a capacity to serve up to 100 million passengers/year.
The project is divided into 3 construction phases: Phase 1 (2021-2025); Phase 2 (2025-2030); Phase 3 (2035-2040).
Phase 1 of Long Thanh airport is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Up to now, Dong Nai province has resettled nearly 4,300 households/5,647 households.
