On June 19, Korean media reported that model and streamer Lim Ji Hye passed away at the age of 37 after a week of treatment for attempting to end her life on livestreams.
It is known that before that, she went out drinking with some colleagues. After singing karaoke and drinking, she argued with a colleague and returned home in an unconscious state. The colleague was named Gam Seong Yeoul. Before her death, Lim Ji Hye also accused this person of not paying her salary.

Immediately after Lim Ji Hye committed suicide, netizens flooded streamer Gam Seong Yeoul's personal page, demanding that she issue a public apology. However, in a recent livestream, Gam Seong Yeoul announced that she would not apologize, emphasizing that Lim Ji Hye committed suicide because she could not control her emotions: "Honestly, I will not apologize. Did I do anything wrong? Who are you asking to be responsible for her suicide? Lim Ji Hye did it because she could not control her anger."
Regarding not paying Lim Ji Hye the full salary as promised, Gam Seong Yeoul also explained: "We agreed that anyone who cries during the livestream will be fined 300,000 won (5.5 million VND). But she kept crying and the atmosphere went down, so I told her to turn to the wall and cry. It was Lim Ji Hye who yelled at me first."
The colleague added: "It's unfortunate and regrettable that this happened right after our livestream. But why should she be the center of attention in every broadcast? In fact, a few of us gathered together to earn income, attracting about 2,000-3,000 live viewers... I'm not sorry."

She is a single mother of two daughters.

On the morning of June 12, a friend informed her that Lim Ji Hye had suffered two cardiac arrests, and the doctor gave her a poor prognosis. On June 19, she passed away.
