Binh Phuoc has 250 active cooperatives.

On the morning of April 8, the Binh Phuoc Province Cooperative Union held a conference on "Developing collective economy and cooperatives in the new period" to find solutions and propose mechanisms and policies to support the improvement of the quality and efficiency of cooperative models.

In the period of 2021-2024, the whole province has 352 cooperatives, of which 132 were newly established, an increase of 60% compared to 2020. Currently, the whole province has 250 cooperatives in operation, 95 cooperatives have stopped operating and are waiting for dissolution, and 7 cooperatives have temporarily stopped operating.

The development of the cooperative model in recent times has attracted companies and enterprises to cooperate, link inputs and outputs with cooperatives, and attract many young people and women to participate in the model. In addition, many cooperatives are small-scale, lack capital; the ability to mobilize resources from the market for investment in production and business is still limited; there is still a situation where cooperatives have not provided services to members... are the main barriers to the development of cooperatives in recent times.

Based on the groups of solutions exchanged and discussed at the conference, the Provincial Cooperative Union will synthesize and propose to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies appropriate support mechanisms and policies to improve quality and efficiency, creating conditions for cooperatives to operate in compliance with the Law on Cooperatives 2023.
