The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document requesting localities to soon select and announce the third subject in the 10th grade entrance exam.

According to the document, the announcement of the third subject in the 10th grade entrance exam aims to create favorable conditions for students to complete the program, review, prepare well, and create a mindset ready to take the exam and achieve good results.
In the above document, the Ministry of Education and Training also requested the Departments of Education and Training to urgently develop and publish the principles and criteria for admission to grade 6 of junior high school in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality so that students, parents, teachers and schools can clearly understand and be proactive in the admission work.
Specifically, for schools with a number of students registering to study that exceeds the assigned school quota, the Department of Education and Training guides schools to conduct student capacity assessment according to the forms specified in the student assessment regulations such as question-answer, writing, presentation, practice, experiment... to ensure that enrollment is carried out fairly, publicly, transparently and in accordance with practical conditions.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a Circular promulgating regulations on secondary school and high school admissions. In particular, the selection of the third subject or exam for high school admissions and specific instructions on admission criteria for secondary school admissions are the responsibility of the Department of Education and Training, starting from the 2024-2025 school year.
