Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants license to establish permanent office to Financial News, Korea

On July 2, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang granted a license to establish a permanent office in Vietnam to the Korean newspaper Financial News.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , along with Mr. Kim Kwan Woong, Chief of Office and resident correspondent of Financial News in Vietnam, Mr. Kim June Seok and representatives of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam .

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her delight at Financial News opening an office in Vietnam. This is the fourth resident Korean press agency and the 30th member of the foreign press community in Vietnam, reflecting the good and comprehensive development of the Vietnam-Korea relationship in many fields such as economics, politics, diplomacy, trade, investment and people-to-people exchange.

The Deputy Minister also highly appreciated the role of the Korean press in enhancing mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, thereby actively contributing to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The Deputy Minister said that Vietnam is in a period of strong transformation, entering an era of prosperous development, providing opportunities for Korean reporters to record and convey messages about friendship, cooperation and solidarity between the two countries.

The Deputy Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to always accompany and support foreign reporters, especially Korean reporters, to help them successfully complete their missions in Vietnam.

On behalf of Financial News , Mr. Kim Kwan Woong thanked the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for creating favorable conditions for the newspaper to officially come into operation. He affirmed that Financial News, as a Korean general newspaper, will make more efforts to promote the development of the relationship between Vietnam and Korea in the future, bringing the two countries closer together.
