Appointment of 2 Deputy General Directors of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel)

General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, presented the decision to appoint two personnel to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel).

The Ministry of National Defense has just held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to appoint two personnel to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ). At the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, handed over Decision No. 420/QDD-BQP and Decision No. 468/QDD-BQP dated November 1, 2024 on the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ). Previously, Viettel's leadership included: Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of the Group; Major General Nguyen Dinh Chien, Party Committee Secretary, Deputy General Director; Deputy General Directors: Major General Do Minh Phuong, Colonel Dao Xuan Vu.

Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son was born in 1975 and started working at Viettel in 2000 as a technical engineer. During his 24 years of service, Mr. Son has held many important positions such as: Head of Billing Department, Director of International Business Center of Viettel Telecom Corporation, Deputy Head of Information Technology Department of the Group, Deputy General Director of Viettel International Investment Joint Stock Corporation (VTG), General Director of Viettel Star Telecom Company (Unitel). Before being appointed as Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, Mr. Son was General Director of Viettel Telecom Corporation (Viettel Telecom).

Viettel Group's leadership presented flowers to congratulate Senior Colonel Cao Anh Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat, born in 1981, started working at Viettel in 2008, holding many positions, from system administrator to management officer, holding important positions. Comrade Nguyen Dat has twice held the position of Head of the Group's Technical Department, twice held the position of head of Viettel Network Corporation (VTNet). He also held the positions of General Director of Movitel (Viettel Mozambique) and General Director of International Investment Corporation (VTG). Before being appointed as Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, Comrade Nguyen Dat was General Director of Viettel Network Corporation./.
