Hot popcorn enjoyed with tea leaves creates a delicious dish on a cold day.

In October, there are more rains. People feel free in the cool weather, remembering more and more memories as the years go by… Remembering the familiar “specialties” of rainy days in childhood. Popcorn - one of the gifts that has embraced childhood, mixed with the sweetness of rice and sugar.

Over time, popcorn has not changed in ingredients or processing methods. Popcorn snacks still retain their rustic, familiar flavor.

Popcorn is made from popped rice grains. People put a pan on the stove, when the pan is hot, put rice in, stir-fry for a minute until the popcorn is golden brown on the outside and the grains are crispy, then quickly take it out of the pan, continue to pour sugar water and press it so that the popcorn grains stick together.

The cook will shape the cakes into round balls, the size of a fist, perhaps that is why the cake is called popcorn. According to experience, to make popcorn, you should use sticky rice so that it will stick together and be easy to shape the cake. Also, do not be greedy and add too much sugar because sugar will make the popcorn hard and lose its crispness.

Popcorn has a delicious and addictive taste thanks to the brown sugar that melts and blends into each grain of fragrant rice popcorn. Popcorn is rustic, cheap, and ensures quality, no additives, no preservatives.

During the hard times, the simple home-made snack of popcorn was a reward for our mother whenever we got good grades. Sometimes, we kids would run after ice cream, popcorn, and popcorn carts, exchanging the scraps we found for these snacks and sharing them with each other.

I remember the days when I went to school, I carefully wrapped some popcorn and brought it to class. Waiting for recess, my friends gathered in groups of five or seven, playing hopscotch, jumping rope while sharing the crispy, fragrant popcorn.

Now, sometimes during rush hour, I see uncles and aunts selling bags of popcorn right on the sidewalk. At times like that, I always stop by to buy a few bags of fragrant popcorn.

Enjoy each crispy, golden cake with a sip of hot tea, following the gentle early winter wind, the scent of green tea seems to soothe a bygone era.
