After receiving the above feedback, the Human Organ Transplant Coordination Unit reported to the post office (where Cho Ray Hospital's mail is sent to other places) to verify and thoroughly handle the incident, in order to prevent similar profiteering behaviors from occurring.
The hospital recommends that when receiving text messages or phone calls claiming to be staff from the Human Organ Transplant Coordination Unit, or working at Cho Ray Hospital - with the content requesting payment for the cost of making an organ donation registration card - people need to be extremely cautious.

Previously, on July 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also warned that in recent days, there has been a trick of impersonating medical staff to scam blood donors in Ho Chi Minh City. The subjects asked for personal information with the reason of "abnormal blood donation results".
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that in the past time, this agency has coordinated with related units to carry out many communication activities, warning people through the "Golden Blood Drops" application and the official website and fanpage, as well as sending SMS messages to the blood donor community to be vigilant, not to provide personal information and not to follow the instructions of scammers.
Accordingly, medical facilities and blood donation units will only contact people through official methods. Messages sent to blood donors will display the brand name “BVTMHH” or “TTHIENMAUTP”.
The hospital absolutely does not ask people to provide personal information via the application, Zalo or any link. If in doubt, people should immediately call the hotline of the Blood Transfusion - Hematology Hospital at 028.3955 7858 for verification.
"People should absolutely not provide personal information to strange calls or messages. When detecting suspicious signs, they need to stay calm, not follow the instructions of strangers, and proactively report to the police or notify medical facilities for timely support and handling," the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health instructed.
