(NLDO) - The letter of Mr. Le Hong Thai, Principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), received millions of compliments.
Many parents and students in Ho Chi Minh City shared an emotional letter from Mr. Le Hong Thai, Principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). In the letter, Mr. Thai refused to accept flowers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, instead, he asked to exchange them for milk and notebooks for his students.
The letter reads: "Every year, on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the school receives many congratulatory flower baskets. However, these flowers are only used for a few days and then thrown away, which is a waste. This year, due to the difficult economic situation, through this open letter, the school respectfully requests that instead of giving flowers, philanthropists, businesses and organizations please change the form by giving notebooks, milk and sports equipment so that the school can reward the students.
This November, the school's main activities are the Illustrated Book Storytelling Contest and Phan Van Tri Challenge 2024. The goal of the activities is to help students develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics.
The school hopes to receive support and sharing from philanthropists, businesses and organizations to bring practical gifts, directly support children in training their mind, body and aesthetics, and encourage them to confidently participate in useful playgrounds.

The letter was immediately shared by thousands of parents and students with emotional feelings. Many parents expressed their surprise when receiving the letter from the principal who thought of the students, for the students.
Sharing with the reporter of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , Mr. Le Hong Thai said that it was from the desire that the competitions with all the efforts of the students in a month of physical education, decorating piggy banks, illustrating storytelling performances would be rewarded properly. The school also tried very hard to find solutions to reward and encourage the students. With the thought that the bouquets of flowers sent by businesses and organizations would also fade and that would be a waste while Phan Van Tri Primary School is also a school in an area with many difficulties.
