BYD M9 revealed to be on sale in Vietnam, from about 1.5 billion VND?
The BYD M9 2025 MPV model has just been registered for industrial design in the Vietnamese market, expected to launch in September or October.

In Volume 2 of Official Gazette No. 448, Volume A, published by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office in July, the MPV M9 model appeared, with BYD Company registering its industrial design copyright. The luxury MPV BYD M9 coming to Vietnam is identified as the international version of its "twin brother" Xia currently sold in China, with many adjustments to suit global tastes.
The new BYD M9 2025 model has dimensions of Length x Width x Height of 5,145 x 1,970 x 1,805 (mm), with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm. The exterior design stands out with a large chrome-plated grille, blocky headlights and characteristic chrome-plated "dragon beard" details. The car uses electric sliding doors at the rear, horizontal LED taillights and a glowing BYD logo. The interior space is arranged for 7 seats in a 2+2+3 configuration, with two business class seats in the middle row. The modern cabin has 3 screens: the 15.6-inch center, the dashboard and the passenger screen are all 12.3 inches in size.
In addition, the car also has wireless charging, automatic air conditioning and two business class seats for the second row. More than 34 storage compartments are arranged throughout the cabin, optimizing convenience for users. Smart 3D cabin technology allows split screen, interior control with 3D model, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support and voice commands via virtual assistant "Hi BYD", can receive commands from both front rows. The car is equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine (115 horsepower) and an electric motor (268 horsepower), creating a total capacity of nearly 400 horsepower and 474 Nm of torque. The fuel consumption is announced at 5.6 liters / 100 km, while the pure electric operating range reaches 95 km thanks to the 20 kWh LFP battery pack.
The car supports fast charging, charging the battery from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes, and integrates VTOL technology, allowing power supply for outdoor devices or use as a backup power source for the family. The M9 offers 4 driving modes: Normal, Economy, Sport and Snow. However, the car does not have advanced driver assistance features (ADAS) such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning or lane keeping assist, a notable minus point in the price range of over 1.5 billion VND. Some sources said that BYD M9 will officially launch in the Vietnamese market around September or October 2025, with an expected price of 1.5 - 1.7 billion VND.
