On the evening of January 30, the Meritorious Artist Scholarship Awarding Program - Musician Bac Son took place at Trinh Kim Chi Stage (Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association). Singers Bich Thuy and Ha Chau - two children of musician Bac Son - presented 75 Tet gifts and scholarships to children of stage workers in difficult circumstances, including children of poor but studious artists.
"Up to this year, we have awarded more than 1,700 scholarships (over the past 18 years, since musician Bac Son passed away) to help many backstage children enter college and university, continuing their dreams. Currently, the children of workers at the Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater have entered college, some have entered university, that is the great happiness of our family" - artist Bich Thuy was moved.

Mr. Pham Hoang Truc (HCMC Drama Theater) brought his son Pham Hoang Tuyen to receive the gift and was very happy because his son receives it every year. He is now enrolled in the University of Theater and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City, studying acting, continuing his dream of becoming an artist.

In addition to giving scholarships, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the family of the late musician Bac Son also gave thousands of gifts to disadvantaged families. Each gift worth 500,000 VND includes rice, noodles, fish sauce, soy sauce, MSG, sugar, etc.
In addition to this meaningful work, the family of the late musician Bac Son also spread his compositions to young audiences. His songs about spring such as: "Spring in Memory", "Last Year's Peach Blossom", "Spring in the Highlands", "Spring and Gentle Love" were performed vividly by singers and artists: Khanh Tuan, Bich Phuong, Binh Chinh, Hoang Dang Khoa.
Lac Long Quan Theater Club also performed impressive spring performances.
Bac Son's music often has folk melodies. He associates images of his homeland and country (ferry docks, thatched roofs, dike roads, etc.) with listeners, and anyone who goes far away will remember their homeland when listening to his songs.
"In 2023, my family organized the "Bac Son Love Songs" contest, selecting many young singers who love my father's music. In 2024, we will bring this program to schools" - singer Bich Thuy said.
