The project to build the Vo Van Kiet road connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway is still unfinished after 8 years of construction. Many items of the project show signs of deterioration, with grass and trees growing wildly after the project was suspended for a long time.

The Vo Van Kiet road project connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway is 2.7km long with a total investment of 1,557 billion VND. The starting point of the project connects to the end of Vo Van Kiet road (Binh Chanh district), the project consists of two parallel roads, with a scale of 2 lanes.

The project started in October 2015, with completion scheduled for 2017. However, the project has been suspended since 2019.

According to Dan Tri reporters, many bridge piers were abandoned for a long time after construction, with overgrown grass and trees.

Up to now, the total construction output of the project has only reached 140 billion VND (equivalent to 12% of the total investment) while the project implementation period has ended.

The construction area of the Vo Van Kiet road project connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway at the intersection with Nguyen Cuu Phu road currently has no fences, it is still a dirt road. People have many difficulties when moving through this road section.
