At around 8:00 p.m. on October 10, the tractor-trailer with license plate 47H - 022.45 was traveling on the La Son - Tuy Loan highway in the North - South direction. When it reached Km 62 (in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), the tractor-trailer suddenly caught fire at the front of the vehicle.
At this point, the driver immediately pulled the car over to the side of the road and jumped out of the cab.
Receiving the fire alarm from the driver, the joint venture of Mui Trau tunnel operators on the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, including Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Joint Stock Company, Phu Yen Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company and North - South Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company (the location closest to the fire) mobilized vehicles and forces to the scene.

Along with that, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team and Hoa Vang District Police were reinforced to the scene to coordinate in extinguishing the fire and ensuring traffic on the La Son - Tuy Loan highway.
By 9:10 p.m. on October 10, the joint forces had brought the fire under control. The fire did not cause any casualties, but the tractor trailer was severely damaged. During the night, the police force regulated traffic, preventing congestion on the route.
Forces coordinated to extinguish the fire
The cause of the tractor trailer fire is currently being investigated by Hoa Vang District Police.
The La Son - Tuy Loan expressway project started construction in December 2013, with a total investment of 11,485 billion VND. The project has a total length of 77.5 km, starting from La Son intersection (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue), ending at Tuy Loan intersection (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) connecting to the beginning of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway.
