According to records, there is currently a situation where scammers impersonate delivery company employees with the aim of appropriating people's property.

Specifically: On August 17, a resident in Nam Tu Liem received a call from a person claiming to be a delivery staff of the Fast Delivery Company, informing him of an order and needing payment through his account.

After depositing 300,000 VND into the provided account number, the subject informed that due to a mistake, the customer needed to access the link to cancel the membership card registration. Due to suspicion, the user did not carry out the request.

In another case, after transferring money for an order, a person received a similar request and followed it, resulting in a loss of 22 million VND.

An online store owner on Facebook reminded his customers to check the information correctly to avoid bad situations. At the same time, they should ask to take photos of the package and bill of lading to notify the seller to check.

In addition, the Information Security Department also recorded the impersonation of domestic postal and delivery companies to commit recruitment fraud. For example, Vietnam Post has recently continuously posted warnings on its fanpage about being impersonated by subjects to commit recruitment fraud.

In addition to publicly announcing on the unit's official channels, Vietnam Post also recommends that people do not follow requests, do not access strange links, and do not make payment transactions when requested.

The Information Security Department also mentioned the phenomenon of impersonating delivery staff of delivery brands to appropriate property in a warning about online fraud in our country's cyberspace.

Therefore, people are advised to always verify information related to services or promotions, absolutely do not transfer money before receiving the goods and do not access strange links.

According to the Department of Information Security, to avoid becoming a victim of recruitment fraud, it is necessary to check information about the unit through official channels as well as reliable sources.

At the same time, people are advised not to make money transfers or provide important personal information without verifying their address and company information. In addition, it is necessary to clearly understand the interview process, labor contract and terms of the company before applying.
