Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed a decision to transfer and appoint comrade Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
This decision was signed on November 15, the appointment term is 5 years from the date of signing.
Previously, on October 25, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution 1260 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on adding one more Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to increase the number of deputy ministers by one so that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has six deputy ministers to meet the requirements of mobilizing, arranging and assigning cadres to prepare for the provincial party congresses and the 14th National Congress of the Party. After the 14th National Congress of the Party, the total number of deputy ministers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall not exceed five.
Present with With the new Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has 5 other Deputy Ministers: Phung Duc Tien, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Nguyen Quoc Tri and Hoang Trung.
Comrade Vo Van Hung, born in 1972, Vinh Thuy commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province, is a PhD in forestry and a senior political theorist. Before being elected Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee in 2020, Comrade Vo Van Hung held the position of Vice Chairman of the Cam Lo District People's Committee, Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Tri province, and Secretary of the Dong Ha City Party Committee.
