On August 24-25, 2024, the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Tri , World Wildlife Fund in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam) will organize communication activities to reduce plastic waste in Con Co island district.

This is a meaningful activity to reduce plastic waste in Con Co island district as well as spread the local results of the environmentally friendly island district model throughout the country.
Within the framework of the program, a conference will be held to disseminate models of plastic waste reduction, solid waste classification at source, promote existing and typical models in Vietnam, clean up the environment, collect and classify garbage. Organize tree planting to protect the environment, block coastal waves; sign an agreement to continue communicating the plastic waste reduction model on Con Co island in the coming time.

The program will have the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, representatives of WWF - Vietnam, leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Tri, and the People's Committee of Con Co island district.
