On the morning of July 24, Ninh Binh Club officially signed a contract with striker Gustavo Henrique for a term of 2 years.
Gustavo said he loves life in Vietnam and has now brought his wife and children to Vietnam to live, creating a solid rear base to wholeheartedly devote himself to Ninh Binh.
This is the next foreign player contract of Ninh Binh Club before V-League 2025-2026, after the team recruited 3 foreign players before, Victor Morales, Alfredo Pedraza and Janclesio Almeida. In the near future, the team will likely sign a contract with the 5th foreign player, Daniel Da Silva, if this player successfully passes the trial.
Gustavo Henrique was born in 1995 and played for the Hanoi Police Club in the 2023 season. In his first season playing football in Vietnam (and Southeast Asia), Gustavo adapted easily, scoring 6 goals and 5 assists in 20 matches to contribute to the V-League championship for the police team.
Gustavo's ability and experience are expected to help Ninh Binh increase its competitiveness in V-League 2025 - 2026, after being promoted from the First Division.
Before returning to Vietnam, Gustavo had played quite successfully in the Iraqi National Championship with 17 goals and 5 assists after 36 appearances.
Currently, Gustavo is focusing on Ninh Binh Club to compete in the new pre-season friendly tournament in Da Nang .
