The following article shares Ngân Hà's experience of traveling in the South of France. The article contains the author's personal views.
In the middle of the cold winter in Europe, this Côte d'Azur region of France is like a small warm fire, because the temperature here is always pleasant with nearly 300 sunny days a year.
As winter began to knock on the door of Berlin, Germany - where I live, I decided to fly to the Côte d'Azur for a week, working remotely and capturing the flavors of summer.

Move
The ideal time for Vietnamese tourists to visit the South of France is spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November) because the temperature is cool, not too crowded, and not too expensive.
If you depart from Paris, you can take a train for about 6 hours to reach Nice, the capital of the Côte d'Azur region. Nice International Airport is one of the largest airports in France, so you can easily travel.
In Nice, public transport is varied. Trains and buses run frequently and are very punctual. You can buy 1-day, 3-day or 1-week tickets depending on your needs.
To be more proactive, you can also rent a car to drive yourself. The car rental fee for 1 week is about 250 Euro (more than 6.6 million VND) and the road tax is about 300 Euro (nearly 8 million VND).
However, in France, toll collection is quite common. Therefore, renting a self-driving car can be proactive in terms of time but costs a lot of money for car rental, gas money and quite a lot of toll fees.
Visitors should consider using public transportation.

Accommodation
My experience finding a room is pretty simple. I usually open the map, mark my intended destinations, and then search for rooms nearby on the Airbnb app or Booking site.
The higher the room rating, the better. If you are using public transport, consider booking a room near a train station.
Must-see destinations
Nice: The south of France is famous for its emerald green beaches and it would be remiss not to mention Nice’s pebble beach. Climb the “Colline du Chateau” for a photo of the city’s famous long coastline. Don’t forget to visit the old town.

Principality of Monaco : One of the smallest countries in the world , with its territory located in the heart of France. Coming here, visitors will be surprised by the supercars, luxury yachts...
Cannes City : Symbol of glamour, famous for the Cannes Film Festival. Take the time to climb up to the "Place de la Castre", which offers panoramic views of the city.

Antibes Town : An incredibly romantic town, home to a giant white Ferris wheel and the TikTok-famous beach “Bay of Antibes Billionaires”.
Eze Ancient Village : Perched at an altitude of 427m with a view of the Mediterranean, ancient architecture with small houses close together, stone walls or rusty iron frame lamps.

Calanques: A place with steep limestone cliffs next to narrow sea inlets. This is a suitable place for hiking, conquering the canyons by the sea to admire nature.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence Old Village : The small village is built on top of an elliptical hill, famous for its many galleries and art studios.

Menton Town : Located on the border of France and Italy, famous as the "lemon town" because of its vast lemon gardens and lemon-shaped souvenirs sold everywhere.
Provence : A lavender paradise with fields stretching to the horizon. If you want to visit the purple lavender fields, book early because summer is the peak tourist season, rooms are easily sold out and prices increase rapidly.
The blooming time will vary from year to year but usually falls around late June - early July. Visitors should check with local information channels to avoid missing out on the best blooming season.
