Novaland shares fall below 10,000 VND

Amid a series of stocks sinking in red, shares of real estate giant Novaland also fell to below VND10,000 per share.

At the end of the trading session on January 10, the stock code NVL of No Va Real Estate Investment Group Corporation (Novaland) decreased by 3.22% to VND9,920/share. The volume of shares matched and transferred during the session reached more than 8.7 million shares. This is the lowest price ever since Novaland was listed on the stock exchange in 2016.

Since the beginning of 2024, Novaland's stock price has decreased by nearly 41%. In 2021, Novaland's stock price peaked at VND92,366, and NVL's current price has decreased by over 90%.

Due to the decrease in stock prices, the market capitalization of the real estate giant was also pulled back to more than 19,345 billion VND.

Recently, Novaland announced information on the early bond buyback. On December 31, 2024, Novaland bought back all 5 bond lots early with a total bond value of up to VND 1,550 billion.

Previously, on December 27, 2024, Novaland announced a resolution of the board of directors approving the plan to buy back bonds before maturity, with a maximum total volume of VND 7,000 billion.

Regarding business performance, in the third quarter of 2024, Novaland recorded a total consolidated revenue of VND 2,010 billion. Novaland's financial revenue in the quarter increased to VND 3,897 billion.

In the first 9 months of the year, Novaland's total consolidated revenue from sales and service provision was VND4,295 billion, excluding revenue from financial activities. The consolidated profit after tax in the first 9 months of the year recorded a loss of VND4,377 billion, mostly due to provisions for the 2024 semi-annual reporting period according to the auditor's own opinion.

As of September 30, 2024, Novaland's total assets reached more than VND 232,029 billion.
