Announcing networks of training centers of excellence and talents in technology 4.0

GD&TĐ - On the afternoon of August 1, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to announce the networks of excellent training centers and talents in 4.0 technology in the Northern region.

Attending the conference were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc; representatives of functional units of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology; representatives of 7 higher education institutions chairing 7 networks and representatives of more than 100 higher education institutions and enterprises that are members of the networks.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc emphasized: In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Party and State have identified the importance of science , technology and innovation in the cause of national development.

Resolution 57 of the Politburo affirms: Science, technology and innovation are indispensable foundations for sustainable development, especially emphasizing the role of universities in realizing the goals of science, technology and innovation.

The conference announced the networks of excellent training centers and talents in technology 4.0 in the Northern region with 7 networks in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, biotechnology, transportation technology, and advanced materials, which are concrete steps to implement policies and guidelines into educational practice.

Through excellent training programs and joint research projects between the school and businesses, students and researchers will be able to acquire the most up-to-date knowledge, practice interdisciplinary skills and experience solving practical technological problems.

In order for the network to be effective in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc requested that higher education institutions continue to organize propaganda and widely disseminate the contents of the Project to all managers, lecturers, students and related subjects in appropriate forms.

Proactively propose to competent authorities investment projects to develop facilities and improve the quality of training and scientific research in a number of priority technology fields of Industry 4.0. Based on plans and practical needs, units proactively propose scientific and technological tasks.

Implement the tasks and solutions stated in the Project on cooperation with foreign universities, organizations and enterprises, attracting talents to participate in training activities, scientific research, technology development, and innovation in universities.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc presented flowers to congratulate the Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Industry Network chaired by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The Deputy Minister also requested that universities selected to participate in the network promote the spirit of autonomy and pioneering innovation. Each teacher and scientist in the network must constantly strive to improve their professional qualifications, actively connect and cooperate domestically and internationally to bring their central network to regional and international levels.

At the same time, we hope that technology businesses and international partners will continue to accompany and join hands to build advanced and excellent training programs, modern laboratories and applied research projects, bringing practical values.

At the conference, the networks presented their orientations and development plans for the coming time. At the same time, they affirmed that the announcement of the networks is of great significance in promoting cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The 7 announced networks include:

1. Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Industry Network hosted by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

2. Industrial and Biomedical Biotechnology Network chaired by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

3. Advanced and intelligent transport technology and infrastructure network chaired by the University of Transport.

4. Next generation network technology, intelligent network security technology and multimedia communication chaired by the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.

5. New materials and construction technology network chaired by Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

6. Northern Agricultural Biotechnology Network chaired by Thai Nguyen University.

7. Transport technology network chaired by University of Transport Technology.
