In nearly five decades of establishment and development with the orientation of "Connecting science - For community health", Imexpharm has always steadfastly pursued a sustainable development strategy, taking ESG criteria (Environment - Society - Governance) as the core foundation to provide high-quality healthcare solutions that meet EU-GMP standards and are highly effective. With this orientation, Imexpharm not only optimizes the value brought to the community and stakeholders, but also contributes to raising the position of the Vietnamese pharmaceutical industry on the international pharmaceutical map.

People's Physician, Pharmacist Tran Thi Dao, General Director of Imexpharm shared: “In the context of rapidly changing socio -economic conditions, Imexpharm is determined to develop sustainably according to the vision of 'Comprehensive healthcare ecosystem - For a healthier future community'. This is the driving force for Imexpharm to constantly improve, optimize operational efficiency, expand international markets, strengthen the supply chain, and accompany the community on the journey to improve comprehensive health”.

To realize the vision of becoming a high-tech pharmaceutical supplier for the domestic and regional markets, Imexpharm has continuously increased investment in an EU-GMP-compliant production system with 12 modern production lines, and invested deeply (up to 5% of revenue) in research and development (R&D) capacity. In 2024 alone, the company launched 24 new products, focusing on new-generation antibiotic groups and parenteral dosage forms. Currently, Imexpharm owns 28 European marketing authorizations (EU-MAs) for 11 products.

Imexpharm’s factory clusters, including 3 EU-GMP standard clusters, are operated in a closed process chain, strictly controlled from input materials to final products. The company prioritizes the use of clean, safe, internationally standardized raw materials (CEP) and applies Enzymatic technology to the production of antibiotic raw materials, minimizing the use of chemical solvents.

In parallel, Imexpharm manages waste sustainably through strategic cooperation with INSEE Ecocycle, a unit of Siam City Cement Group, a provider of co-processing solutions using modern technology. Imexpharm's green factory clusters own water systems that meet ISO 14001:2015 standards; CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sterilization In Place) technology for absolute sterilization; HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system to control temperature, humidity and air circulation. In particular, Imexpharm optimizes the green production model using renewable energy, with a solar power system that has been deployed at the headquarters and is being expanded to key factories.

Not stopping there, Imexpharm continues to expand its product portfolio into specialized treatment areas such as cardiovascular, diabetes, neurology and digestion - with the orientation of developing products with high intellectual content and high technology. All of these efforts revolve around a consistent mission: serving the health care needs of the community, helping patients access medicine better, more effectively and at a more reasonable cost, especially in the context of society facing many new disease challenges.

For Imexpharm, sustainable development is also about accompanying the community, so in 2024, Imexpharm implemented many scholarship and educational sponsorship programs with a total value of 755 million VND. In addition, the company also has programs to distribute free medicine, environmental activities such as tree planting and waste collection. In early 2025, Imexpharm donated 500 trees to the Da Lat City Youth Union, making a practical contribution to the city's plan to plant 3.8 million trees.

Not only does the company practice good manufacturing practices along with environmental protection and community contributions, it also invests deeply in governance activities. Imexpharm is proud to be included in the VNSI20 sustainability index basket, and is one of the first companies to complete the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), deploying the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system to increase transparency and meet the expectations of investors and international partners.

These activities have laid a solid foundation for the company's sustainable financial growth. In 2024, Imexpharm's gross revenue reached VND2,513 billion, up 18.9% year-on-year. In the first 5 months of 2025, net revenue reached VND1,001 billion, up 25%, and EBITDA reached VND211 billion, up 23% year-on-year.

Imexpharm General Director emphasized: “We believe that a truly sustainable model is one that not only creates economic value, but also inspires and leaves a lasting positive mark on society - true to the philosophy that Imexpharm has always steadfastly pursued: “1,000 years later, the lotus still blooms”.
