Da Nang thanks units promoting, advertising, and connecting the Korean tourist market

ĐNO - On the evening of August 4, at Shilla Monogram Da Nang Hotel, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang organized a gala program to honor Korean airlines, travel agencies, and OTA platforms. These are units that have actively contributed to promoting, advertising, connecting, and maintaining a stable number of Korean visitors, continuously leading international markets to Da Nang from 2016 to present.

Speaking at the program, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed that Korea has always been one of the leading important partners of Da Nang in many fields such as tourism , investment, trade and cultural exchange.

The increasingly strong presence of airlines, tourism businesses, along with millions of Korean tourists coming to Da Nang have become vivid proof of the close, effective and lasting relationship between the two sides.

Over the past decade, Da Nang’s tourism industry has made remarkable progress – with the great, persistent and dedicated contribution of Korean partners. Currently, there are 12 airlines operating 150 flights per week connecting Da Nang with major cities in Korea.

In the first 7 months of 2025 alone, Da Nang city welcomed more than 4 million international visitors, of which more than 1 million were Korean tourists - an impressive number, demonstrating the deep affection that Korean people have had and are having for Da Nang city.

According to Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, in the new development phase, when Da Nang city officially expands its administrative boundaries and sets the goal of becoming a leading tourism - service center in Asia, the city determines that Korea will continue to be a strategic market, needing to be invested in and prioritized for stronger development in the coming time.

Stemming from sincere gratitude, Da Nang city organizes the Korean Guest Appreciation Week as a deep gratitude to Korean partners, businesses and tourists.

Da Nang City pledges to always open the door to cooperation, be ready to share resources, innovate thinking and accompany partners on the journey to create a bright tourism future - not only for Da Nang City, but also for the friendly and sustainable cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea.

At the event, the city honored and awarded medals to 12 airlines operating flights from major cities in Korea to Da Nang, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Air Busan, Jeju Air, T'way Air, Eastar Jet, Air Seoul, Jin Air, Aero K, Air Premia, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air.

At the same time, honor and award medals to 12 travel agencies and OTAs (online agents) bringing Korean tourists to Da Nang, including: MODE TOUR, HANA TOUR, CHANG TOUR, TOTOBOOKING COMPANY LIMITED, KLOOK TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY, KKDAY, LOTTE TRAVEL, YELLOW BALLOON and GHOST TOUR.

Within the framework of the Korean Tourist Appreciation Week in Da Nang, the city organized a Farmtrip program for 10 leading travel agencies and 5 OTAs in Korea, welcomed famous KOLs to experience and promote tourism, and organized a vibrant golf tournament.

At the same time, the program "Giving gifts to thank Korean tourists" will be implemented for all Korean tourists who come to experience Da Nang from August 1 to 8, including souvenirs such as conical hats, lanterns, paper fans, discount vouchers, etc.
