Da Nang: Building policies to promote investment in science and technology

DNVN - Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) to focus on researching and advising on effective investment promotion policies in the fields of S&T, innovation and digital transformation.

Working with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on the afternoon of July 14 on implementing tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested the Department to promote a proactive spirit, promptly complete the organizational structure, and review the remaining and necessary tasks.

Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet worked with the Department of Science and Technology on the afternoon of July 15.

Emphasizing the role of the Department of Science and Technology in the socio-economic development of the city, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested that in the coming time, the Department promote its main advisory role in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation in the city in the direction of "6 clear": Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear authority.

Organize a review of legal documents that can continue to be applied or need to build new resolutions to replace them, promptly report to the City People's Committee to submit to the City People's Council in the next session. Especially focus on researching and advising on major, breakthrough tasks, building effective investment promotion policies in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Review the IT system, transmission lines, equipment, digital signatures to operate the 2-level government smoothly, make efforts in July to solve IT issues, guide localities on purchasing equipment for IT infrastructure. Develop a training plan, provide IT professional guidance to cadres, civil servants, and public employees.

In addition, the Department of Science and Technology needs to focus on promoting the implementation of the "digital literacy" movement in conjunction with community digital technology groups, promoting cashless payments. Advise on solutions to increase the proportion of the digital economy, focusing on digital infrastructure projects; coordinate the implementation of important projects such as smart ports and smart free trade zones.

According to the report, in the last 6 months of 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang will focus on effectively implementing specific and outstanding policy mechanisms in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; innovating the management mechanism on content and finance of science and technology programs, projects and tasks towards removing bottlenecks and barriers in the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
