Dak Nong celebrates 75th anniversary of Youth Volunteer Force tradition day

On the morning of June 24, in Gia Nghia City, the Provincial Youth Union and the Dak Nong Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers jointly organized the 75th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Volunteer Force (July 15, 1950 - July 15, 2025).

At the ceremony, former Youth Volunteers and Dak Nong youth reviewed the glorious tradition of the Youth Volunteers over the past 75 years. Since its inception, the Youth Volunteers have achieved many resounding victories, regardless of difficulties, sacrifices and hardships to contribute to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

In the process of building the homeland, the former Youth Volunteer Force continued to promote their revolutionary qualities and participate in building a new economy after the country's reunification. In each historical period, the image of young men in green shirts, barefoot, and hoes in hand has become a symbol of the will and aspiration to contribute of Vietnamese youth.

In Dak Nong province, after more than 21 years of establishment and development, up to now, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers has 8 branches, with 1,409 members. In recent times, the association at all levels has enhanced the quality of its activities, carried out well the work of solidarity and gratitude; ensured the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights of members; actively participated in social work and patriotic emulation movements...

In the first 6 months of 2025, 396 members in especially difficult circumstances, lonely, homeless received gifts on the occasion of holidays and Tet with a total value of nearly 200 million VND. The Association visited and cared for 27 sick members; coordinated with units to build 4 gratitude houses for 4 former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances; organized 4 trips to the source at red addresses...

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded the Vietnam Veterans' Youth Volunteers Medal of the Central Youth Volunteers Association to members of the Provincial Youth Volunteers Association who have made many contributions to the association's movement; and presented 50 gifts to former Youth Volunteers.

Through the connection of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Agribank presented 10 gratitude houses to former Youth Volunteers and union members and young people in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 600 million VND.
