Dak Nong promotes exploitation of the first earth fill mine

On February 17, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (TN-MT) of Dak Nong confirmed that the unit is posting the content of the consultation report on the environmental impact assessment at the Dak Nut B land fill mining investment project, Nghia Duc ward, Gia Nghia city.

Within 15 days, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will consult on issues related to the project location, environmental impacts, measures to minimize environmental impacts, environmental restoration plans, etc. Individuals, agencies, and organizations with comments will be compiled by local authorities and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the consultation results will be sent to the project owner.

Previously, Construction Corporation No. 1 - CTPT sent an environmental impact assessment report of the Dak Nut B land fill mining investment project, Nghia Duc ward. The project owner proposed to exploit land with a capacity of 400,000m3 of monolithic soil /year.

Construction Corporation No. 1 - CTPT is the contractor implementing the Gia Nghia City Central Square Project. This enterprise has carried out procedures to request mineral exploration and exploitation at Dak Nut B mine since September 2024. The purpose of the land exploitation is to obtain filling materials for the Gia Nghia City Central Square Project.

Dak Nut B mine has an area of about 5.6 hectares, with reserves of about 600,000m3.

In December 2024, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment met and agreed to redefine the boundary of the Dak Nut B mine's land exploitation location. The parties agreed to exploit an area of nearly 4.7 hectares.

If licensed, Dak Nut B mine will be the first landfill mine in Dak Nong licensed to exploit as common construction materials according to regulations.

Dak Nut B landfill has an area of nearly 5.6 hectares with a reserve of about 600,000m3 . This is a landfill approved by Dak Nong province as an area without auctioning mineral exploitation rights. The goal is to shorten the licensing process and procedures to obtain landfill for Gia Nghia City Central Square and some other public investment projects.
