After considering the proposal of the Quang Nam Provincial Police in Official Dispatch No. 1161 dated March 28, 2024 and Report No. 1253 dated April 11, 2024 of the Department of Transport on proposed measures to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 14D, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Nam Giang District People's Committee to focus on directing relevant departments, units and localities to thoroughly resolve violations of infrastructure and road traffic safety corridors in the district according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatches No. 1604 dated March 21, 2023, No. 2627 dated April 28, 2023. In particular, focus on handling violations on National Highway 14D.
The Provincial Customs Department continues to implement the control of vehicle load under the authority and direction of the Ministry of Finance in Official Dispatches No. 8307 dated June 23, 2014 on coordination of vehicle load control to ensure traffic safety and order and No. 07 dated January 3, 2017 on the implementation of Directive No. 32 of the Prime Minister.
The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to continue patrolling and controlling on National Highway 4D to promptly detect and strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order. Coordinate and support the Department of Transport Inspectorate in stopping vehicles to control vehicle weight.
The Department of Transport improves the quality of management, exploitation and maintenance of traffic infrastructure; reviews and supplements signs, warning signs of danger and damaged roads on National Highway 14B. Urgently organizes the repair of damage using the allocated budget for management, maintenance and regular repair. Actively coordinates and works with the Vietnam Road Administration to continue to supplement and allocate funds to promptly overcome and repair damage on the route. Proactively works with functional units under the Ministry of Transport to promptly implement the project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 14D according to the direction of the Government.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Transport to direct the inspection force to preside over and coordinate with the functional forces of the Provincial Police to control the vehicle load on National Highway 14D. Strengthen inspection, detect and promptly handle violations of regulations on traffic infrastructure (illegal connections, encroachment on corridors, review and addition of signs, etc.) in accordance with regulations.
Relevant departments, branches, units and Nam Giang District People's Committee actively coordinate and implement. In case of any problems, promptly inform the Department of Transport for synthesis and report to the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Road Administration, and Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction to resolve.
