Fire broke out and burned down more than 2 hectares of production forest in Da Nang

On the evening of July 19, the leader of Duy Xuyen Commune People's Committee (Da Nang City) said that the authorities were urgently extinguishing a large fire in the production forest area in the commune.

Fire burned down more than 2 hectares of acacia plantation

According to initial information, the fire broke out in the morning of the same day in an acacia forest on a hill in the commune. Authorities were able to temporarily control the fire, but in the evening, the fire suddenly flared up again due to strong winds, quickly spreading and burning more than 2 hectares of acacia forest.

Upon receiving the news, many fire trucks and rescue forces were mobilized to the scene, but access was difficult due to the steep, mountainous terrain.

According to local leaders, the initial cause was determined to be due to people clearing and burning uncontrolled vegetation, causing the fire to spread into the acacia forest.

Currently, authorities are investigating and urgently implementing response measures to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring areas.
