According to Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Long, talent training cannot be successful without breakthrough policies to attract, encourage creativity and create conditions for learners to reach high capacity and level. Therefore, the State needs to soon issue a policy to provide living expenses for students participating in excellent and talented training programs in basic sciences , key engineering and strategic technology.
To encourage and attract students who have won national and international awards or are selected from specialized competency assessments, in addition to providing monthly living expenses, the State needs to provide full scholarships for them. At the same time, the State allows students receiving support to be given priority to participate in research projects at the school, ministry, and enterprise levels; to have subsidized internships at large technology enterprises, etc.
Accompanying the above policy is a commitment mechanism to work in the industry or related field after graduation.
At the conference, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced networks led by 7 strong higher education institutions presenting their orientations and development plans for the coming time. These are networks established at the request of the Government to form 1 or 2 networks of excellent and talented training centers in each priority technology field of Industry 4.0.
The southern networks are expected to be announced next week. Here is the full list of 13 networks of centers of excellence and talent across the country:
Each network is expected to attract at least 100 talented scientists and experts, including overseas Vietnamese and international experts, to participate in teaching and scientific research in higher education institutions in Vietnam.
