MobiFone's turn to officially provide 5G service

On March 26, MobiFone became the third network operator - after Viettel and VNPT - to officially announce the provision of 5G services, with the first phase focusing on the centers of major provinces and cities.

According to MobiFone's announcement, their 5G speed can reach 1.5 Gbps, 10 - 15 times faster than 4G and very low latency. MobiFone's 5G network is deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA (non stand alone) and 5G SA (stand alone) architecture platforms.

However, according to 5G mobile broadband network measurement statistics for February 2025 updated from the i-Speed Internet platform of the Vietnam Internet Center ( Ministry of Science and Technology ), MobiFone's 5G mobile broadband download speed reached 284.89 Mbps and upload speed reached 53.37 Mbps, meeting maximum user needs.

MobiFone representative said that users with 4G SIM and 5G phone can immediately use the service in 5G coverage area without having to change SIM.

Mobile users will immediately feel the superior speed of MobiFone 5G when experiencing services that require large bandwidth and low latency.

For business customers, this network operator announced over 100 products, covering 8 key areas of national digital transformation priority, including: industrial production, smart cities, energy, agriculture , healthcare, education, transportation and smart tourism.

MobiFone also provides solutions to serve individual businesses in the flow towards a digital society. These solutions are integrated with AI, IoT, Cloud and Big Data technologies on the 5G platform, helping businesses optimize operations, improve performance and promote sustainable growth in each field.

In fact, in recent times, MobiFone has deployed solutions and services on the 5G technology platform at a number of agencies, units and businesses across the country.

Examples include: AI camera solutions for smart tourism, smart transportation, 5G Private network solutions at Vicem Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company...

In the coming time, MobiFone said it will continue to make efforts to expand coverage, aiming to cover 5G to every commune in 63/63 provinces and cities nationwide.
