Sharing with VTC News, artist Hong To confirmed that actor Aly Dung passed away on the evening of December 27 at his home after a long battle with leukemia.

On the morning of December 29, his coffin was cremated at Binh Hung Hoa Cremation Center, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City. Aly Dung's coffin was laid to rest at Phap Hoi Pagoda, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to artist Hong To, actor Aly Dung had no family so his friends helped take care of his funeral. Before his death, the actor was hospitalized for more than 2 weeks at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. However, his illness progressed rapidly and he did not survive due to his old age and poor health.

“An artist with more than 50 years of art experience, but he was unlucky and had difficulties in his old age, had no home, no close relatives.
